FREQUENTLY ASKED

Questions people often ask

What happens in a free consultation?

I offer a free 15-minute virtual consultation. This is a chance for you to tell me what you're hoping to work on and for me to share a little about my approach and style. If you're working on a relationship together, I encourage everyone involved to join the consultation when possible.

How often will we meet?

Weekly meetings are highly recommended at the start. They allow us to build our therapeutic relationship and work toward meaningful insight and progress more consistently. I recognize that weekly sessions aren't always realistic, and I'm happy to discuss other scheduling options if needed. As always, decisions about scheduling and goals are made collaboratively.

How long will therapy take?

This really depends! Some folks come to me with specific topics or challenges they'd like to work through. For these concerns, therapy may take approximately 8–12 sessions. Others come with deeper feelings, longstanding patterns, or more complex histories that take more time to unpack. For these concerns, therapy may take 12–20 sessions or more.

Some people are navigating ongoing or chronic challenges and benefit from longer-term support, which may mean meeting for 12 months or longer.

I often say that my goal is to put myself out of a job! (Not literally.) Therapy shouldn't feel like a forever thing. My hope is to help you develop insight, build skills, and create meaningful changes that you can carry with you long after our work together ends.

We'll regularly reassess your goals and progress together so that the length and frequency of therapy continue to make sense for you.

Do you work with individuals?

Not as a stand-alone service anymore — I'm no longer offering individual therapy on its own. My practice is focused on relationship therapy, sex & intimacy therapy, and parent coaching. If your concerns are relational, I'm glad to talk through whether one of those is the right fit.

Do you work with children or teens?

I've worked with children and teens in various forms throughout my professional career, so I understand the challenges from many angles. I'm also a toddler mama and have helped raise several other family members through different developmental stages, which certainly informs my parenting work.

However, I'm not currently accepting children or teens into my practice.

Do you have in-person sessions available?

I'm not currently offering in-person sessions, but I hope to in the future!

When are you available?

Sessions run during business hours, with one weekend day available each month. All sessions are virtual.

What states are you licensed in?

I am a Licensed Mental Health Clinician in Massachusetts, license #13331. I am based in Worcester and see clients across the state, including Greater Boston. Therapy is regulated by the state you are physically located in during a session, so I can work with clients who are in Massachusetts at the time we meet.

What does it cost?

Sessions are $150 to $225 depending on the service, and I am private pay only. Full rates, out-of-network reimbursement, and Good Faith Estimate details are on the Rates & Payment page.

What is your cancellation policy?

Please cancel or reschedule your appointment at least 24 hours in advance. Cancellations with less than 24 hours' notice or missed appointments will be subject to the full session fee, as your appointment time is reserved exclusively for you.
